Team GB LEGO® Minifigures were released in the UK only to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics. This time round there were only 9 Minifigures released consisting of: Brawny Boxer, The Stealth Swimmer, Relay Runner, Judo Fighter, Tactical Tennis Player, Flexible Gymnast, Wondrous Weightlifter, Horseback Rider, Agile Archer.
Although this was great for all UK LEGO® collectors it did cause some upset worldwide with them being sold exclusively in the UK only. Officially released in July of 2012 they arrived just in time for the hype of London 2012, and with all of the Medals Team GB won the LEGO Minifigures were there to help everybody celebrate.
